Whilst in Denver visiting family, we visited Larimer Street in the recently regenerated RiNo area (aka River North). The renovation and repurposing of many once derelict buildings into buzzing cafes, bars, restaurants and shops is great to see.
We had lunch at Central Market, a gourmet marketplace and food hall. In a brilliant old warehouse building with plenty of interesting details retained, it houses a variety of local vendors, including a bakery, coffee shop, fish market, butcher, rotisserie, chocolate shop, ice cream, wood-fired pizza, salad, and sandwiches.
My personal favourite restaurant on the block was Barcelona (https://www.barcelonawinebar.com). A warm and welcoming tapas bar inspired by the culture of Spain. The gloriously fitted out restaurant has taken over a former dog day care facility and the interior design successfully achieves the perfect mix of warmth, style, rusticity and interest.
